The Maryland Black Bears are excited to announce the hiring of Brandon Gotkin as the club’s first assistant coach!
Previously, Gotkin played four seasons with the Mercyhurst University Lakers of the NCAA Division I Atlantic Hockey Association Conference. At Mercyhurst ,Gotkin majored in Business Management. In addition, Gotkin played four seasons for Cathedral Prep in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League…tallied a career-high 29 points on career-bests in goals (13) and assists (16) in 18 games with the Ramblers as a junior…had eight goals and ten assists during senior season…finished career with 67 points and 149 penalty minutes in 72 games.
“We are pleased to add Brandon to our ever-growing staff.” said Head Coach Clint Mylymok. ” He will be a guy that the players can relate to, having recently completed playing collegiate hockey. His enthusiasm for the game will be infectious to the players and staff, and we look forward to him joining us in Maryland.”
