Black Bears Endure Tough Loss to Johnstown Tomahawks

The Maryland Black Bears suffered a 6-1 loss to the Johnstown Tomahawks Friday night. Even though the Black Bears outshot the Tomahawks 41 to 25, the Black Bears were only able to successfully convert one of those shots. The sole goal came from Forward Luke Mountain. Each team had 10 power play opportunities. The Black Bears were unable to convert any of their opportunities, while the Tomahawks were only able to convert one of their power play chances.

The Black Bears get their chance at revenge tomorrow night against the Tomahawks at 7:00 PM for game two of the weekend series in Johnstown.
