Black Bears Lose Second Straight to Jamestown Rebels

The Maryland Black Bears lost to the Jamestown Rebels 4-0 Saturday night. The Black Bears struggled to get their offense going in the first period as they were outshot 17-6. On the other hand, the Rebels were firing on all cylinders scoring two first period goals. The second period continued to go the Rebels way as they extended their lead to 3-0 and outshot the Black Bears 9-8.

The Black Bears could not get anything going offensively throughout the game. Even with six powerplay opportunities, the Black Bears were unable to convert on any of the advantages. The Rebels continued their surge and scored one goal in the third period to make it the final score of 4-0.

This is the second straight loss for the Maryland Black Bears. The team will return home after the Holidays and New Year for a two-game series against the Northeast Generals on January 4th and 5th at 7:45 PM in the Piney Orchard Ice Arena.
