Today, the Maryland Black Bears signed Center Christian Brune. The 6’1 185-pound lefty will make his debut this weekend against the Northeast Generals. Brune last played for the NAHL Bismarck Bobcats. During his 12-game stretch with the Bobcats, he scored 2 goals and had one assist. The newest Black Bear addition is a dual citizen of the United States and Germany. The New Jersey native has already committed to playing Division I hockey at Merrimack College.
“Christian will bring some size and grit to the middle of the ice, at Center,” said Maryland Black Bears Head Coach Clint Mylymok. “He has good size, competes hard, and shoots the puck well. He will be in the lineup over the weekend, and we are happy to have him join the Black Bears!”
