Today, the Maryland Black Bears have acquired Minot Minotauros Forward, Wilmer Skoog. Skoog is a top NAHL prospect that has already committed to Division I powerhouse, Boston University. Boston University plays in the Hockey East Association and has won the NCAA Division I Championship five times.
The 6’1, 190 pound, ’99 Birth Year is from Tyreso, Sweden. Last year, Skoog scored 18 goals and had 29 assists for 47 points in 57 games with the Minot Minotauros. Before Minot, he played in various elite-level leagues around Sweden.
The move signifies the Black Bears commitment to continually improve each year as they will soon start their second season in the NAHL. Securing a player of this caliber is essential to building a winning culture. Skoog is an experienced veteran that will be able to contribute on and off the ice immediately.
