The Maryland Black Bears traded Forward Max Borst to the Lone Star Brahmas for a future, conditional NAHL draft pick. Borst was part of the original Black Bears roster from their Inaugural Season. He had 7 goals and 11 assists over the 2018-19 campaign. The Minnesota native also represented the Maryland Black Bears during the 2019 Junior Club World Cup on Team NAHL.

“The Black Bears would like to thank Max for all of his hard work and everything he has done during his time here,” said Maryland Black Bears Head Coach Clint Mylymok. “From representing us on the global stage in the Junior Club World Cup to right here in the Central Maryland Community, Max always did a great job of portraying what this hockey franchise stands for. We wish him all the best.”
