ODENTON, MD – Jack Smiley has announced his commitment to play college hockey at Endicott College next season. The big man was a mid-season addition to the Black Bears and was an instant fan favorite upon arrival in Piney Orchard. He came to the Black Bears as a seasoned veteran in the NAHL (North American Hockey League) that brought leadership, a high hockey IQ, and size. Smiley had the following to say about his commitment to Endicott:

 

“I am excited to further my education and hockey career at Endicott College. I am very grateful to the fans, staff, billets, coaches and my teammates of the Maryland Black Bears organization for supporting me and helping me get here.”

 

Head Coach and General Manager, Clint Mylymok, had this to say about Jack and his commitment:

 

“We enjoyed having Jack join our organization, and provide the leadership and work ethic we have established within our program. He is a classy individual, and we look forward to seeing him continue his career with Endicott College. He will be a great addition to their campus.”

Added Maryland Black Bears’ President Robyn Remick:

 

“Jack impressed with his talent on the ice and leadership in the locker room.  His fan base in Shreveport followed him to Maryland and we look forward to following him as he continues his journey at the collegiate level.”
