ODENTON, MD– On Military Appreciation Weekend, the Maryland Black Bears welcomed
the New Jersey Titans starting on Friday night. Despite some late chances, New Jersey got
the better of Maryland in the first game of the two-game weekend set.

Scoring started 1:09 into the first with Cooper Eberhardt redirecting a Matt Henry point shot
that alluded Colin Ronan to make it 1-0 New Jersey. The Black Bears got their feet
underneath them and put an attack on New Jersey’s net, but could not find the twine behind
Dylan Krick. With 8.2 seconds remaining in the first, Riley Fitzgerald made it 2-0 in a mini-
break to give the visitors the lead after 20.

The Black Bears picked up the hitting and the offense in the second, peppering the New
Jersey net with Magnus Gadowsky finding the back of the net for his first NAHL goal and
cutting the lead to 2-1. Moments later, however, Jack Hillier was able to get behind the
Maryland defense and make it 3-1 on a breakaway. However, exactly a minute later, Jeremi
Tremblay notched his 11th of the year getting behind New Jersey’s defense to get Maryland
to within one going into the third.

Maryland tried to find the equalizer and did have a couple power plays to work with, but it
was New Jersey who was able to convert. Dominick Rivetti picked up a loose puck off a
blocked shot by Reece Brednich and scored a shorthanded goal to make it 4-2, which turned
out to be the final score.

The Black Bears will look to split the weekend series on Saturday at 7:30 PM ET. Tickets are
